Audrey, Wait! – Robin Benway

Posted by Laura on November 3, 2008

Audrey broke up with her boyfriend, yet agreed to stay friends. She promised to go to his concert the night after the breakup, and while there her life changed forever.  Evan sang the song he wrote the night before, the song is about their breakup.  The real problem is that the song, Audrey, Wait!, is good.  Really good.

Soon it is played on local stations.  Shortly it is played nation wide.  Then world wide.    Then came the  paparazzi following Audrey around.  Ugh.  How can Audrey get on with her life with all of these changes?  This book is Audrey’s side of the story.

I found this to be a quick and funny read.  (I read it in one day, and I work full-time.)  Here you will find good friends, new romance and many concerts.  If you can’t stand reading books with swears, skip this one, but if you are okay with the more colorful words in our language, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in this novel.

Here is the author’s website.  FYI – every chapter of the book starts with song lyrics.  So, do you love music?  Perhaps you will recognize the songs.
